Golden Candles description
Originating from the West Indies and tropical areas of America, Golden Candles is a small evergreen shrub with bright yellow flower bracts that are far more showy than the actual white flowers themselves.
The flowers appear on terminal spikes throughout the warmer months and sit above large deeply veined, dark green leaves. The plant grows to approximately 50cm in height and width.

Plant cultivation and care
Pachystachys lutea prefers tropical to sub-tropical climates. Plant in a rich soil in part sun. They can also be ideal as an indoor plant in a warm, well-lit position protected from draughts. Feed regularly. Does not tolerate frosts.
