Licorice Plant description

Originating from the Mediterranean, the Licorice Plant is an evergreen shrub with a spreading growth habit. It forms a mound of striking silver-grey foliage that can look quite stunning against the dark green backdrop of other plants. Leaves are heart shaped and have a felt-like look and feel.

During Summer the plant produces masses of small creamy-yellow flowers. The plant is quite fast growing, getting to 1.5m in height and 2m in width.

Prefers an open, full sun to part sun position in a very well drained soil. Low humidity. Do not overwater as roots will rot easily.
