Viburnum odoratissumum, commonly known as Sweet Viburnum is an excellent addition to any medium to large garden. The fabulous new cultivar ‘Dense Fence™’ means Sweet Viburnum can now be grown in smaller gardens too.
Viburnum odoratissimum ‘Dense Fence™’ forms a hardy, dense hedge or screen with less pruning than the common form.
This cultivar grows quickly and tolerate minor frosts once established. It grows to 2.5m high x 2m wide if unpruned or 1.8m high x 2.5m wide when pruned. Small, white, fairly inconspicuous flowers appear in Spring.

Plant cultivation and care
Dense Fence™ tolerates most well drained soils in a full sun or part shade position. Water well for 2-3 months until established and prune as required. Addition of slow release fertiliser in Spring is beneficial.
