Pincushion Plant description
A member of the South African genus of around 40 evergreen plants, the Pincushion plant is grown for its showy, highly interesting flowerheads.
Appearing in Spring and Summer, the red, orange or yellow flowerheads are a favourite of florists due to their long vase life. After flowering, the shrub bears smooth, pale coloured fruits.
This shrub grows to approximately 2m in height and roughly the same width. Low water requirements.

The Pincushion plant prefers a well-drained/sandy acid soil in a warm, full sun position. They do not respond well to high humidity.
