Lemon Scented Myrtle description
A very attractive Australian native tree that is popular for its aromatic foliage and small, cup-shaped cream flowers which are produced in Summer.
Ideal as a shade tree or bushy shrub, the Lemon Scented Myrtle has dark green shiny leaves which are velvety underneath and reddish new growth. It grows to a height of 2-4m and 3m wide in the garden. In a rainforest habitat, it can get up to 4-10m high and 6m wide.
Honeyeater birds and butterflies are attracted to the flowers.

Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in rich, moist, well-drained soil. It prefers part-shade in hot climates. It can be sensitive to frost.
